Your account
Delete your account.
Wordojo, by Neelverse Lab · updated 29 September 2026
You can delete your Wordojo account and everything in it yourself, in the app or right here. It happens straight away and can't be undone.
In the app
- Open Wordojo and tap Settings.
- Tap Data and privacy, then Delete account at the bottom.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account. Wordojo deletes your account, clears everything it kept on that phone, and restarts.
Here, on the web
No phone to hand? Prove the email is yours with a one-time code, then delete.
Your Wordojo account is deleted.
If Wordojo is still installed on a phone, uninstall it (or clear its storage in Android settings) to remove what it kept on that phone.
What gets deleted
- Your progress and history: streaks, XP, belts, practice logs, scores, journal entries and settings synced to your account.
- Your writing: every draft and every saved version.
- Your account and plan: your profile (name, goals, daily minutes, reminder time and any "about you" answers such as gender, date of birth, work and languages), your Gems and their history, anything bought with Gems, your plan or free trial, and your invite code.
- Your sign-in: the email address you sign in with, and any Google, LinkedIn or Facebook sign-in linked to it.
- On your phone: deleting in the app also clears everything Wordojo kept on that phone, including recordings, which are kept only on the phone, and daily backup copies. Deleting on the web doesn't reach your phone; uninstall Wordojo there.
What is kept, and for how long
- Database backups: our database provider, Supabase, keeps daily backups for 7 days. A deleted account can linger in them for up to 7 days, then it is gone.
- Server logs: our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps request logs (such as IP address and time) for security, for up to 30 days.
- Email records: our email provider keeps a record that a sign-in code was sent to your address, for up to 30 days.
- Messages to us: emails you sent to support stay in our mailbox until you ask us to delete them.
- AI requests: text you sent to an AI feature went to the AI provider for that request. Wordojo keeps no copy of the text; the provider's own policy applies.
- Usage and cost records: app events (such as "practice done") and the cost record of each AI request stay, with your account and your device's id removed, so they can't be tied back to you. Events are deleted after 13 months, cost records after 25 months.
- Payment records: if you ever paid for Pro or Gems, the record of the payment (product, amount, date and the store's reference, never card details) stays without your account attached, for as long as tax law requires.
- Subscriptions: deleting your account doesn't stop a store from billing you. If you pay for Pro through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play too.
We never build advertising profiles or sell your data.
Delete only some of your data
You don't have to delete everything. Any "about you" answer can be changed or cleared in the app (Settings, Profile and goals). Deleting a draft erases it and every saved version of it: on that phone, in the cloud, and on your other devices when they next sync. For anything else, such as a recording or a practice log, write to privacy@wordojo.com from the email on your account and tell us what to remove. We act on every request within 30 days.
