Wordojo privacy

Wordojo is a private app: only the owner can sign in. There are no ads and no analytics. Your practice syncs to your own private account, and text goes to an AI service only when you use an AI feature.

Your private account

• Only the owner can sign in, with a one-time code sent to the owner email. Every other email is refused.
• Your practice history, progress, trophies and settings sync to your account in Supabase (the NeelVerse database, hosted in Mumbai), so the phone and the web app show the same thing. The database only lets the signed-in owner read or write it.
• Recordings stay on the device where you made them. AI keys and passcodes never sync.

What stays on your phone

• Your practice history, notes, pocket cards, game scores and settings.
• Voice recordings you make in Hear yourself.
• Your trophies, arena progress and the episodes you've listened to.
• Anything Gemini Nano does. On phones that have it, Wordojo can use this AI model built into the phone. It runs on the phone itself, so that text never leaves it.
• The phone's own voice (Android text-to-speech) when the app reads lines or replies aloud.
• Mirror's camera. The front camera's picture is read on the phone by face and pose tracking that ships inside the app (MediaPipe). Frames are never uploaded or saved. The replay is kept in memory only and is gone when you close Mirror. Only the scores (like eye contact and posture percentages) are kept.
• Mirror's voice read. Pitch, loudness and pauses are measured on the phone from the microphone while you talk.
• Daily backup snapshots (the newest seven).
• Your AI key or server passcode. They are never put in a backup or an export.

What leaves your phone, and when

• AI features (coach, compress, Senior Room, debrief, new game rounds). The text you typed or dictated for that feature goes to the AI service you chose in Settings: OpenRouter (which passes it to the model's provider), the Vercel AI Gateway, or your own server. Their privacy policies cover what happens next. Some free models on OpenRouter may log prompts or use them for training. You control that at openrouter.ai/settings/privacy.
• Dictation. When you tap the microphone, Android's speech recognition service turns your speech into text. Depending on your phone, that happens on the device or through Google's speech service.
• Transcribe with every um. Only when your own server is connected. That one recording goes to your server and on to a transcription service (OpenAI's Whisper through the Vercel AI Gateway, or Deepgram if it is set up) for that request only.
• Rehearse live. When you tap it, Wordojo copies a role-play brief and opens the Gemini or ChatGPT app. What you say there is covered by that app's privacy policy.
• Speech Theatre. Speech videos play in YouTube's embedded player, which loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com). If you ask AI to draft notes for a speech you add, or to coach a line you wrote, that text goes to your chosen AI service like any other AI feature.
• Mirror's transcript and content check. After a Mirror take, the sound of that take (never the video) goes to your Wordojo server and on to a transcription service (OpenAI's Whisper through the Vercel AI Gateway, or Deepgram if it is set up), which writes down each word with its timing. Neither Wordojo nor the server keeps the recording. The text then goes to the AI service you chose, so your coach can judge the content. The camera picture is never uploaded.
• Journal. Your evening journal entries sync with the rest of your practice to your private Supabase row. If you ask for a reflection, that entry goes to your chosen AI service.
• Videos and podcasts. Videos open in YouTube. A podcast episode streams from its publisher's server when you press play, which sees a normal audio request from your phone.
• Share cards. A card image goes wherever you choose to share it.
• Exports. A backup file goes wherever you choose to share it.

What Wordojo does not do

• No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no selling data, and no accounts for anyone but the owner.
• The only services it talks to are the ones listed on this page: your Supabase account, Wordojo's own server at neeltalk.indranil.in (for AI, only when you are signed in), and the AI, video and podcast services above.

Permissions

• Microphone: dictation, recordings and Mirror's voice read.
• Camera: Mirror only, read on the phone and never uploaded.
• Notifications: the practice reminders you switch on.
• Internet: cloud AI, videos and podcasts. Everything else works offline.

Deleting your data

• Uninstalling Wordojo deletes everything it stored on the phone. Clearing its storage in Android settings does the same.
• Your synced copy stays in your account until you delete it. Deleting the account in Supabase removes it.
• To revoke an AI key, delete it on OpenRouter or Vercel.

Children

Wordojo is made for adults at work. It is not directed at children.
